Soccer Expert Sutton Faces Off Against Singer Murs in Top Flight Forecasts
The Gunners' 10-game winning run was ended by the Black Cats prior to the global break, however can the Premier League frontrunners recover against local foes Tottenham this Sunday?
"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," remarked football expert Chris Sutton.
"The Spurs manager will try to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling best this season - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still find a way to win."
The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this season, against AI, readers and a range of guests.
For the twelfth round, he takes on singer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter.
Murs' latest record, Knees Up, is out on the weekend.
Soccer and Family Experiences
Olly is a talented footballer as well as a successful artist and has been a featured player of several Soccer Aid matches down the years - but he is not planning a serious comeback as a footballer.
"{I actually played in a charity match the other night for a mate of mine," he explained. "My team was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the second half, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!
"I still love football, but I hurt my knee a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it properly again.
"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my child or son decides to play instead."
Murs and his spouse his partner have a young family, their daughter and their son, and he is ready to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their coach.
"I will not push football on our kids but I've already told my wife that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will likely be managing their weekend football side," he added.
"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I obviously was involved with a football club for a while too.
"My father coached with us when I was a child, which is likely where I get it from. He coached our side for several years and had great fun with it. That could be the future for me as well, and I am excited to it!"
Premier League Forecasts

- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
Chelsea might have to wait a bit longer for Cole Palmer's comeback from injury but their offense is already stronger with Pedro and Delap both returned to fitness.
In my opinion this game will be fairly tight, though. Burnley are disciplined and their sole home defeats so far have been against Liverpool and Arsenal.
This suggests a one-all draw to me, but I am in fact going to choose Chelsea to win narrowly for what would be their third league win in a row.
The expert's forecast: 1-2
Olly's prediction: The Blues will be superior. 1-3
AI's outlook: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Bournemouth have lost their previous couple games - although both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.
On the other hand, the Hammers secured back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those games were at home, they appear strong again.
West Ham's only on the road victory this season came at Forest in the summer, when West Ham manager Nuno Espirito Santo was previously Forest coach.
Therefore, what on earth do I go with here - will it be the Hammers continuing their run under their manager, or Bournemouth responding?
I will choose the Cherries, because I believe what occurred against Aston Villa was a blip.
Sutton's forecast: 2-0
Olly's outlook: The home team are doing well but the visitors have picked up under their boss. 2-2
AI's prediction: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Bees were considered one of the frontrunners for relegation before the campaign began, but they have impressed a few people under their manager and are in fine fettle with three wins in their past four matches.
A family member told me to select Bees forward Igor Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.
The forward will probably find the net again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or back Brentford at Brighton's ground.
The Bees have not had great fortune on the travel this term, and Brighton are consistently strong at home. The visitors will try to attack on the counter-attack but I think the home manager's side carry much more of a threat.
The analyst's prediction: 2-1
The singer's prediction: This could be one of those games where you expect there is going to be a lot of goals but it in reality proves to be rather close. 1-1
The computer's outcome: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
This is a massive game for the Cottagers, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six matches.
They have have plenty of quality in their squad but it still feels like they could be dragged into a drop zone battle.
Regarding Sunderland, indeed they are the surprise package of the Premier League campaign so far.
Their performance in the two-all draw with the Gunners last time out was superb. We have not witnessed anyone else disrupt the Gunners like that this season, and they were fully competitive for them.
The sensible thing to do to back the Black Cats here, because they are obviously able of disrupting the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they defeated Chelsea at the end of October.
However I am not going to choose that. Instead, I really need to carry on opposing Sunderland with my forecasts. I am claiming a lot of credit for their good outcomes because they evidently enjoy to defy my predictions.
Considering the home side's home form, the only side they have lost to is the league leaders. Marco Silva's team will be absolutely desperate for a positive result, so I am going to predict they will pick up three much-needed points.
The expert's forecast: 1-0
The guest's prediction: I know Sunderland are performing strongly and additionally that Fulham are on a bad run... but Fulham have still been decent at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0
AI's outlook: 2-0

This is a hard one to call. The Reds have suffered seven of their last ten games in all competitions, but might they be among the sides who profit from the {international break|
