Los Angeles witnessed citywide celebrations after the Los Angeles Dodgers clinched a nail-biting seven-game World Series title. Fans worldwide joined Angelenos in jubilation, marking the first time in 25 years that a team has secured back-to-back championships.
Celebration Parade Draws Massive Crowds
Los Angeles area events featured a procession through the city center on the morning of the parade, a ticketed rally at the team's home stadium, and spontaneous parties throughout the city.
Social media videos show thousands of Angelenos packing city center avenues, many carrying handmade banners and Dodger flags. The squad was seen riding high on a open-top bus through the crowds, raising the championship trophy proudly.
“My focus is already about the next championship we’re going to do this,” the star player remarked through an interpreter.
The parade route concluded at Dodger Stadium, where the team walked out to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” with the renowned DJ spinning music and Ice Cube cruising a light blue classic car around the field.

Festivities started prior to the parade, with supporters lighting fireworks in the roads of Downtown Los Angeles on Sunday night.
The World Series MVP, awarded the World Series’ Most Valuable Player, spoke directly about the win.

However, Mark Walter received a less warm welcome at the rally. Recordings from the gathering seem to depict Walter taking the stage to a combination of applause and boos, with negative shouts punctuating his speech.
The championship served as a bright spot in what has been a trying year for the city. An estimated 225,000 people showed up to the championship parade last year, and according to Dodgers player one athlete, supporters this year demonstrated as much if not more enthusiasm.
“It seems it’s nearly twice from last year,” he remarked. “The supporters are incredible. It’s so awesome to be a involved in this.”
