Both Deceased Students Identified in the Ivy League School Shooting as Authorities Press On With Manhunt for Killer.

Two students who were killed in the recent tragic incident in Providence had tributes paid to them on Monday – while an intensive search for their assailant continued following the release by Rhode Island officials of the sole person of interest in the case.

Tributes for Ella Cook

The student Ella Cook, a second-year scholar from Alabama, was remembered as “an amazing, stable, pious, radiant soul”, per the Birmingham's Cathedral Church of the Advent, which paid tribute to her at a ceremony on Sunday.

Her role included vice-president of Brown’s division of the campus GOP group, according to the organization. Karoline Leavitt also expressed condolences on social media, stating: “Words cannot express. Remembering her loved ones and companions, especially her parents.”

An International Student

The second fatality was MukhammadAziz Umurzokov from Uzbekistan, from Uzbekistan in his first year of studies at the renowned school, family members said.

His name was confirmed by the foreign office of Uzbekistan.

“He was exceptionally gentle, witty, and bright. His ambitions were lofty of pursuing a career in neurosurgery and aiding others,” his sister, Samira Umurzokova said in a memorial statement.

An additional nine individuals were injured in the violent event in the engineering department of Brown’s grounds in Providence, during the university's examination week.

The weekend's murders at Brown, the seventh oldest in the US higher education institution with about thousands of bachelor's and 3,000 graduate students, occurred during one of at least 392 mass shootings recorded nationally so far in the current year, according to statistics.
