Automobiles in Germany's City Discovered Smeared with Swastikas in Blood, Police State

Police mentioned they were notified by a resident who discovered a car in Hanau marked with red-colored fluid

Approximately fifty automobiles have been smeared with what appears to be human blood in the Germany's town of Hanau close to Frankfurt, according to police.

Cars, walls and postboxes were defaced, in some cases with swastikas, they stated in a statement.

Police say they were notified during the night on Wednesday, when a man noticed that a automobile in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been covered with a reddish-hued substance.

The fluid had been drawn in the pattern of a Nazi symbol, they added.

Police then discovered numerous other marked automobiles and building exteriors in the surrounding area.

These symbols are banned in Germany under laws outlawing the public exhibition of symbols from the Nazi era.

Officials report preliminary tests show the fluid was most likely human blood.

"There is still no lead as to where it came from; authorities are currently not aware of any physical harm in connection with the incident," they stated.

Local authorities announced they were attempting "to resolve the incident" and have appealed to the residents for details.

An important official commented the vandalism left him speechless and needed to be solved rapidly.

"This incident hits the core of Hanau and revives the wounds of the extremist attack half a decade ago," he stated on social media, mentioning the killing of nine people by a gunman focusing on residents of foreign heritage in February 2020.
